The next generation of Operating System
The team at MEDIOS have been developing a Gentoo based Linux distro tailored for ease of use, security and stability.
MEDIOS has been over 5 years in the making and has had many scripts written to include support for a wide range of applications out of the box, it is currently being used by many happy consumers as the most stable and compatible operating system we've found.
We first started developing MEDIOS as an alternative Operating System for our own company as we were looking for a system that was stable and was not susceptible to virus's.
After discovering the functionality of LINUX, we knew we were heading in the right direction. The only hurdle was the interface was usually for geeks only. Hence we set about adding changes so anyone can install it and use it.
MEDIOS is so simple that you can run it straight from the disc, or install it to your hard drive. Advanced users can install it and run it from a usb drive and you can plug it into any computer in the world and it will boot without ever loosing a thing. *Conditions apply
MEDIOS has a great desktop (see Screen shots) and has a very friendly user interface that even the kids can work successfully in any application.
Most Applications run so smoothly that your computer uses less resources then normal Operating Systems which gives your computer more speed and longer life.
Not only is it totally virus proof and 100% secure it is also setup with a range of fully functioning programs such as office software and photo editing programs and media players and recorders.
It has its own mailing programs and internet browsers that are 100% secure without the added cost of virus programs.
You can now surf the net with total freedom and know that you wont be hacked or virused.
You can even download your latest song or movie and rip it straight to disc with ease, the whole time knowing you wont be vulnerable to a Trojan or hijack cookies.

MEDIOS has been refabricated from the ground up, which now allows us to write or configure almost any program of function needed. For example we have released a Media Centre Edition that can be added to any Home, Office or Lounge situation. With the cababilities of storing all your Videos, mp3's, playlists, media files and more. You can use it in conjuction with a capture card to capture and record HDTV, save your DVD's, Watch TV remotely, or access your playlists from anywhere in the world. We have tested our system with PDA's and mobile phones to give us access into our lounge rooms from anywhere. So you can use your internet phone to turn on your media centre and record the latest show.
We have designed the controls to be programable to suit any remote Control, even with the ability to use bluetooth or Wii remote functions.
MEDIOS is the first step in an alternative Operating System. We believe it to be the next step to your upgrade in software.
